Now it goes a bit beyond just that. The ability to improve accuracy for aging shooters with myopia is huge. One thing I teach, for self-defense shooters, you absolutely MUST wear decision support eyewear (driving prescription) when you carry a firearm in public. These glasses seldom allow for the whole ‘focus on your front sight’ thing and one must learn to work with that. The NFA sights most definitely allow for a much more precise shot when your sights are blurry. Additionally, when aligning the simulator, there is a process where they give you 5 targets, one in each corner and one in the center. They are small targets but only there so you can check the camera alignment and ensure the dot is where the laser is. This is a very slow precision shot but holy s**t, I hit the absolute intersection of the lines multiple times in a row. If I had to guess, my ‘all the time in the world’ accuracy probably doubles due to having the vertical centering component standard iron sights don’t have.
